SUNDAY MAY 23 - OPENING CELEBRATION
Late-afternoon teams will depart their hotels for the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party which will feature substantial food, exciting entertainment. Includes beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks.
MONDAY MAY 24 - MATCH DAY 1
First day of matches. Time to lace up the boots again and get ready to play. Teams at Festival Hotels will be transferred to the University of British Columbia’s magnificant playing facilities..
TUESDAY MAY 25 - FUNCTION
Golden Oldies Rugby famous mid-week function. Teams will be transferred to a local venue for 3 hours of entertainment, buffet luncheon, entertainment & beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks.
WEDNESDAY MAY 26 - MATCH DAY 2
Bruises and hangovers ignored teams will line up for the second day of matches at the UBC complex.
THURSDAY MAY 27 - FREE DAY
A free day to do as you please. Shopping spree, wining and dining. Maybe a day tour in Vancouver, Whistler Mountain or catch a ferry to Vancouver Island - the options are endless!
FRIDAY MAY 28 - MATCH DAY 3
Final day of matches at the Festival rugby playing fields -
hope your body is holding up!
SATURDAY MAY 29 - PARTY TIME!
Team Managers breakfast to announce the next Festival venue.
Early evening teams will meet for the Finale Awards Dinner. Includes 4 hour function with three-course silver service meal, beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks and entertainment.
SUNDAY MAY 30 - FAREWELL AND BON VOYAGE
Teams depart for home or stay on and explore more of Vancouver or British Columbia - there’s so much to see and do!
Participants who have booked on the Alaska Cruise can look forward to 7 more days of fun.
